'Third in Premier League, Champions League quarters' United's minimum expectations

Manchester United's accounts reveal that the Glazers' minimum expectations for the club this season are at least third in the Premier League and a quarter-final place in the Champions League.

Manchester United's minimum expectations this season are said to be at least third in the Premier League and a quarter-final place in the Champions League.

The club announced record revenue earlier today and said that it "assumes the team finishes third in the FA Premier League & reaches the quarter-finals [of Champions League and domestic cup competitions]."

United's Champions League campaign began last night with a 4-2 win over Bayer Leverkusen at home.

In the Premier League, David Moyes's men have begun with with seven points from four games and currently lie fifth.
