Wayne Rooney believes that it is too early to claim that Manchester United will win the Premier League.

Wayne Rooney has refused to suggest that Manchester United will win the Premier League title this season.

The Red Devils are currently nine points ahead of second-placed Manchester City at the top of the table with 13 games left to play.

Despite United's strong position, Rooney believes that it is too early to get carried away.

"Results are the most important thing now," said the striker. "Once it comes down to the last four or five games, then we will see what position we are in and work out what we have to do."

Manchester United welcome Rooney's former club Everton to Old Trafford in the league on Sunday.
