Ander Herrera wants to play alongside Barcelona's Lionel Messi

Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera says that Barcelona's Lionel Messi is the player that he would most like to play alongside.

Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera has revealed that Lionel Messi is the player that he would most like to play alongside at some point during his career.

Herrera took part in a Q&A session on social media site Twitter on Wednesday and one of the questions put to the Spaniard concerned who he would most like to play alongside in the current game.

The former Athletic Bilbao midfielder simply replied "Messi".

Barcelona have previously been linked with a move for the 26-year-old, who represented Bilbao in La Liga between 2011 and 2014, before making the move to Old Trafford.
