Arsenal team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Manchester United

Sports Mole rounds up Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Monday's Premier League showdown with Manchester United.

Arsenal are back in Premier League action against Manchester United after cruising to a 5-0 home win over Nottingham Forest in the EFL Cup.

Gabriel Martinelli, making his first competitive start for the Gunners, was the star of the show at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night.

The 18-year-old forward opened the scoring and doubled his account in the 92nd minute, between which the home fans celebrated goals from Rob Holding, Joe Willock and Reiss Nelson during the final 20 minutes.

Unai Emery fielded a weakened team against Forest but is likely to return all of his available first-choice players to the starting lineup against the Red Devils.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest injury and suspension news for the Gunners ahead of Monday's game.

Alexandre Lacazette

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: October 27 (vs. Crystal Palace)

Having started the season with two goals in three matches, Lacazette's fine form has been halted by an injury to his left ankle which is expected to keep him sidelined until next month.

Hector Bellerin

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Fitness
Possible return date: September 30 (vs. Man United)

Right-back Bellerin returned for most of an Under-23s match against Wolverhampton Wanderers following a troublesome knee injury. The Spaniard received a rapturous reception when he played the final 13 minutes against Forest, his late introduction suggesting he remains short of full match fitness.

Kieran Tierney

Possible return date: September 30 (vs. Man United)

A £25m summer signing from Celtic, Tierney made his debut against Forest and will be eager to appear in the Premier League for the first time. The full-back has had a long layoff and is being assessed in the aftermath of his maiden bow.
