Team News: Wayne Rooney back on Manchester United bench at West Ham

Wayne Rooney returns to the Manchester United bench in Wednesday night's FA Cup quarter-final replay at West Ham United.

Wayne Rooney has returned to the Manchester United bench in tonight's FA Cup quarter-final replay against West Ham United.

The Red Devils' skipper has been out injured with a knee ligament problem for exactly two months and is expected to feature tonight after playing for United's Under-21s on Monday.

In the starting lineup, Louis van Gaal has made two changes to the side that began Sunday's 3-0 defeat at Tottenham Hotspur.

Morgan Schneiderlin and Juan Mata drop out, with Marouane Fellaini and Ander Herrera the two midfielders coming in.

Hosts West Ham, meanwhile, also show two changes from their 3-3 draw with Arsenal on Saturday. Adrian and James Collins drop to the bench to be replaced by Darren Randolph and Enner Valencia.

West Ham United: Randolph; Antonio, Tomkins, Ogbonna, Cresswell; Kouyate, Noble; Payet, Lanzini, Valencia; Carroll
Subs: Adrian, Obiang, Collins, Moses, Emenike, Hendrie, Oxford

Manchester United: De Gea; Fosu-Mensah, Smalling, Blind, Rojo; Carrick, Fellaini; Lingard, Herrera, Martial; Rashford
Subs: Romero, Valencia, Young, Schneiderlin, Mata, Memphis, Rooney
