Alexandre Lacazette wants Premier League move in summer

Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette claims that he will be "ready" to move to the Premier League at the end of the current season.

Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette has revealed that he wants to move to the Premier League at the end of the current season.

The Frenchman scored 31 times for Lyon during the 2014-15 campaign, which led to a host of speculation in last summer's transfer window.

The 24-year-old has admitted that talk surrounding his future had a direct impact on his performances at the start of this season, but the striker is now confident that he is ready to sample life in England.

"Now I am used to dealing with all the rumours. But when they started, maybe two years ago, I was destabilised a little by it," he told The Telegraph.

"But now I am used to it. For me, it's not so hard because I was not ready [to leave] two years ago or even last season. I was not ready then and my goal is not to go to England for the sake of going to England and I don't want to go to a club and sit on the bench.

"So at that time it was not hard for me to stay here. It was a question of waiting until I was ready and I am now ready this summer."

Lacazette, who is said to be of interest to both Arsenal and Manchester United, has scored nine times in 24 appearances for his Ligue 1 team this season.
