Video: Cristiano Ronaldo pays tribute to Steven Gerrard in farewell message

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has insisted that it was a "pleasure" to play against Steven Gerrard, as the Portuguese star delivered a farewell message to the Liverpool captain.

Gerrard will play his final game for the Reds against Stoke City this Sunday before joining MLS side Los Angeles Galaxy in the summer.

During Ronaldo's six-year spell at Manchester United, he came up against Gerrard numerous times, and despite the pair being arch-rivals on the pitch, the Portugal captain has offered his well-wishes to the midfielder.
