Report: Martin Skrtel to sign new three-year Liverpool deal next week

A report suggests that Martin Skrtel will sign a new three-year deal at Liverpool next week despite slamming the original terms of the deal he was offered by the club.

Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel will reportedly sign a new three-year deal at the club next week.

The 30-year-old blasted the Reds last month because of the original terms of the contract he was being offered, which related to performance-related incentives.

However, the two parties have managed to come to an agreement and the Slovakia international will commit his future to Brendan Rodgers's side until 2018 with his new contract, reports the Daily Star.

Skrtel signed for Liverpool in 2008 from Zenit St Petersburg.
