Report: Liverpool, Manchester City interested in Roma midfielder Leandro Paredes

Roma midfielder Leandro Paredes has emerged as a transfer target for Liverpool and Manchester City, according to reports.

The 22-year-old Argentine is back at the Stadio Olimpico after an impressive season on loan at fellow Serie A club Empoli.

Liverpool and Man City would be willing to match the €20m (£16m) asking price set by Roma for Paredes, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, though AC Milan and Zenit St Petersburg are also said to be interested in him.

Paredes, formerly of Boca Juniors, has made 10 league appearances for the Giallorossi, scoring once.
