Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp insists that he is still on the lookout for new signings, but suggests that his options have also been strengthened by existing squad members.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has said that the club will continue to look at potential new signings until the transfer window closes on August 31.

The Reds have so far signed Dominic Solanke, Mohamed Salah and Andrew Robertson this summer, but they have been frustrated in their pursuits of RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita and Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk.

However, Klopp suggested that the emergence of new options has also strengthened his squad, including a series of impressive displays from Alberto Moreno which are likely to keep him at the club and allow James Milner to return to his favoured position in midfield.

"Until the August 31 we run through the world with open eyes. It's not that we decide on our own, it's also about other clubs," he told reporters.

"This pre-season has brought us new players. Alberto Moreno is 100% back which is really nice after a difficult year. Andy Robertson has shown all the skills he's got. He's still adapting to our kind of football but you can see what a threat he can be offensively.

"That means that Millie (James Milner) is free to play in midfield. Without going into the transfer market we have a new midfield player, which is nice."

Klopp was speaking after his side completed their pre-season schedule with a 3-1 victory over Athletic Bilbao this evening.
