Lucas Digne 'turned down Liverpool for Barcelona'

A report claims that French defender Lucas Digne turned down Liverpool to join Barcelona from Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

France international Lucas Digne reportedly turned down interest from Liverpool to join Barcelona in the summer.

The 22-year-old signed a five-year contract with Barcelona in July after the Spanish champions parted with an initial £13.8m to acquire the full-back from French champions Paris Saint-Germain.

According to Fichajes.net, Liverpool were also in for the left-back as Jurgen Klopp targeted a replacement for Alberto Moreno, but Digne rejected their advances to sign for Barcelona.

Digne, who came through the youth ranks at Lille before joining PSG in 2013, spent last season on loan at Roma. He has already made his La Liga debut for Barcelona this season.
