Spanish attacker Marco Asensio hints that he will not be leaving Real Madrid this summer.

Marco Asensio has hinted that he will not be leaving Real Madrid in this summer's transfer window.

The 23-year-old has struggled to make his mark for Madrid this season, scoring just six times and contributing seven assists in 44 appearances in all competitions.

Liverpool have recently been credited with an interest in the Spain international.

However, Asensio's post on Instagram has suggested that the attacker will not be leaving the Bernabeu ahead of the new campaign.

"A complicated season, which has been full of difficulties, has finished. It was far from the level that our marvellous fans deserve," he wrote.

"We will pick ourselves up, we will get better and we will give our all so that Madrid fans will be able to enjoy their team again next season [as we look to] return your unconditional support and love. We promise to fight with renewed energy for every cup until the end.

"Madrid always comes back. Hala Madrid!"

Asensio - contracted to the European champions until the summer of 2023 - has scored 27 times in 135 appearances for Los Blancos in all competitions.
