Adam Lallana rules out leaving Liverpool for Tottenham Hotspur

Adam Lallana rejects speculation linking him with a move to Tottenham Hotspur by insisting that he is happy at Liverpool.

Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana has rejected speculation linking him with a summer move to Tottenham Hotspur.

The 28-year-old, who joined the Merseyside outfit in 2014, is believed to be a target for Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino.

Lallana played under Pochettino for a season when the pair were at Southampton, and while the England international has admitted that he still has a close relationship with the Argentine, he has no plans to leave Liverpool.

The midfielder has become a regular starter under manager Jurgen Klopp, who replaced Brendan Rodgers in October.

"I've got three years left on my contract here," the Liverpool Echo quotes Lallana as saying. "It was only last season that people might have read that I was leaving and thought, 'Yes, let's get him out', but football changes very quickly and I'm really enjoying my football under this manager.

"I've always had a good relationship with Pochettino. We are very good friends off the pitch now, but it would be very difficult [to leave]. I am at a massive club here and playing some of my best football for the club, getting to cup finals."

Lallana is likely to be in the starting XI for tomorrow's Europa League final against Sevilla in Basel.

Liverpool will automatically qualify for next season's Champions League if they win tomorrow night.
