Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp makes five changes for his side's trip to Leicester City.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has made five changes for his side's trip to Leicester City this evening.

The Reds have travelled to the Foxes for the second time in five days, having lost out 2-0 to Craig Shakespeare's side in the EFL Cup on Tuesday night.

Klopp's side could only muster a 1-1 draw in their last league outing at Burnley, and the German responds by making five alterations to the XI that started against the Clarets.

Daniel Sturridge drops down to the bench, with Philippe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah making up the frontline today.

Emre Can is passed fit to start in the midfield despite picking up a minor injury last weekend, while James Milner drops to the bench as skipper Jordan Henderson and Georginio Wijnaldum come back into the fold.

Dejan Lovren replaces Ragnar Klavan as centre-back partner for Joel Matip, having missed the last two games with a back problem, while Joe Gomez is in for Trent Alexander-Arnold at right-back and Alberto Moreno regains his place at left-back from Andrew Robertson.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain started for Klopp's side on Tuesday but finds himself back on the bench, where he is joined by Dominic Solanke and Loris Karius.

Shakespeare makes one change from his side's last league match - a 1-1 draw at Huddersfield Town - with Shinji Okazaki replacing Kelechi Iheanacho as strike partner for Jamie Vardy, who missed the cup game against Liverpool with a groin problem.

Wilfred Ndidi, Andy King, Marc Albrighton and Riyad Mahrez make up the midfield, while an unchanged back four of Danny Simpson, Wes Morgan, Harry Maguire and Ben Chilwell play in front of Kasper Schmeichel between the posts.

Leicester City: Schmeichel; Simpson, Morgan, Maguire, Chilwell; Ndidi, King, Albrighton, Mahrez; Okazaki, Vardy
Subs: Hamer, Fuchs, Amartey, Iborra, Gray, Iheanacho, Slimani

Liverpool: Mignolet; Gomez, Lovren, Matip, Moreno; Can, Henderson, Wijnaldum; Coutinho, Salah, Firmino
Subs: Karius, Milner, Sturridge, Solanke, Klavan, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Alexander-Arnold
