Van den Berg looking to learn from Van Dijk?

Young Liverpool defender Sepp van den Berg is reportedly looking to learn from first-team star Virgil van Dijk.

The 17-year-old joined the Reds from PEC Zwolle in the summer for £1.7m, and the highly-rated Dutchman has subsequently trained with Jurgen Klopp and the first team.

Van Dijk recently won the UEFA Player of the Year award, and in an interview van den Berg has said that he can learn a lot from his compatriot.

Speaking to Fox Sports, the former Zwolle defender said: "They actually teach me everything. Virgil van Dijk, for example, who I can watch. They teach me how to win the Champions League final. That's football.

"Everyone gives me tips. I am still young, so if I do something wrong, I will be told in a friendly way. If you really do something wrong, you will, of course, get blasted.

"Everyone helps me. I can learn the most from Van Dijk. So if he gives me tips, I'll save them. If I make a mistake like not stepping up, etc. Things like that. Things you need to know."

Van den Berg has already played three times for Liverpool's Under-23 team this season and he was recently named in the club's squad for the Champions League.
