Liverpool striker Danny Ings has said that he is "good to go" after making a successful start to pre-season on Friday night.
Ings spent much of his first campaign at Anfield on the sidelines with a serious knee injury but the former Burnley forward scored the only goal of the game as Liverpool recorded a 1-0 win away at Tranmere Rovers.
The 23-year-old told the club's official website: "I'm good to go now. I did a bit of extra work over the summer and I managed to find the right balance between having a break because I've worked extremely hard these last six months to get in this position.
"I'm good to go and am available. Hopefully I can build on tonight, keep my fitness going, get more minutes for the club and score as many goals as I can so I'm excited."
Ings was limited to just nine appearances in all competitions last season.
