Team News: Sadio Mane returns to Liverpool side for trip to Burton Albion

Liverpool make four changes to their side for the trip to Burton Albion in the League Cup, with Sadio Mane among those to return.

Sadio Mane has overcome his shoulder injury to form a part of Liverpool's starting lineup for this evening's trip to face Burton Albion in the League Cup.

The Senegal international was ruled out of the Reds' defeat to Burnley at the weekend after picking up an injury in training, but has been deemed fit enough to start at the Pirelli Stadium.

There is also a place in the XI for Joel Matip, who makes his first start for his new team since joining from Schalke 04 in the summer, while Emre Can and Divock Origi also come in for a Liverpool side showing four changes from last time out.

In terms of the hosts, they include a summer signing of their own in their starting lineup, as Jackson Irvine aims to make it three goals in his last three games in all competitions.

Burton Albion: Bywater, McFadzean, Williamson, Beavon, Akins, Dyer, Butcher, McCrory, Naylor, Choudhury, Irvine
Subs: McLaughlin, Turner, O'Grady, Palmer, Fox, Harness, Delaney

Liverpool: Mignolet, Clyne, Matip, Lovren, Milner, Henderson, Can, Lallana, Firmino, Origi, Mane
Subs: Manninger, Sturridge, Klavan, Wijnaldum, Moreno, Stewart, Ings
