Emre Can picks up "minor injury" in Germany training

Emre Can is expected to miss Germany's meeting with Cameroon in their final group-stage fixture at the Confederations Cup after damaging his ankle in training.

Germany midfielder Emre Can is a fitness doubt for Sunday's group-stage clash against Cameroon at the Confederations Cup after picking up a "minor injury".

The 23-year-old, who has featured in both of Die Mannschaft's games in Russia so far, suffered the damage during a training session in Sochi on Saturday afternoon.

Can may now be forced to sit out this weekend's final round of Group B fixtures, with Germany chasing down Chile for top spot in the standings, but Low does not expect him to spend any significant time on the sidelines.

"During training, Emre Can has sustained a minor injury," he told reporters. "He bent over on the pitch. His boot got stuck in the grass. We will have to see how he feels because he had to break off training."

Low also revealed that he intends to make "three or four changes" for the clash at the Fisht Olympic Stadium, including the return of Roma ace Antonio Rudiger in the backline.
