Quique Flores "really pleased" with Watford win over Leeds United in FA Cup

Watford manager Quique Flores is "really pleased" with his side's performance during their 1-0 FA Cup win over Leeds United.

Watford manager Quique Flores has said that he is "really pleased" with his side's performance in their FA Cup victory over Leeds United this afternoon.

The Hornets kept their hopes of a first FA Cup final since 1984 alive with a 1-0 win at Vicarage Road courtesy of Scott Wootton's calamitous own goal from a Ben Watson delivery.

Despite the winning goal coming in rather fortuitous fashion, Flores believes that his side were worthy of the victory and was happy that they did not underestimate their Championship opponents.

"I think we had the possibility to score before the own goal as we created very good attempts. The cross from Watson was amazing - football is football," Flores told reporters.

"I am really pleased with the performance of the team. We play really serious, in a professional way and respecting Leeds. The most important thing is to be competitive because Leeds were a very difficult opponent, strong in defence and very organised.

"So, we are now thinking our next target is Bournemouth in the league - we need to enjoy with the fans this victory - but tomorrow we will think about the next competition."

Flores also urged the club's fans to start dreaming of a trip to Wembley following their progress into the quarter-finals.
