Report: Keita Balde Diao to sign new Lazio deal

Keita Balde Diao will reportedly be offered a new contract by Lazio in the coming weeks.

The 21-year-old was widely expected to leave Lazio in the summer after failing to turn up for pre-season training, and it is understood that Atletico Madrid were interested in signing the attacker.

However, Lazio held on to the Senegal international and according to Il Messaggero, the Serie A club now want to tie Diao to a long-term contract until 2021.

Spanish-born Diao, who has a contract with Lazio until the summer of 2018, was a second-half substitute in his team's 3-0 win over Pescara at the weekend.
