Juventus claim victory over Lazio at Stadio Olimpico

Juventus claim a 2-0 victory over Lazio as an own goal from Santiago Gentiletti and a strike from Paulo Dybala fire them to the three points at the Stadio Olimpico.

Juventus have eased to a 2-0 victory over Lazio in their Serie A clash at the Stadio Olimpico this evening.

The visitors took the lead through an own goal from Santiago Gentiletti as the Lazio defender could only divert Paulo Dybala's strike into his own net.

Juventus almost doubled their advantage when Kwadwo Asamoah raided through into the box, bustling past two challenges, but he could only send his strike into the side-netting.

Massimiliano Allegri's men doubled their advantage when Dybala launched a half-volley at goal from 25 yards and his effort beat the outstretched hand of Federico Marchetti to find the bottom corner.

In the second half, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic raided forward into the final third, but his effort at goal was poor as he failed to test Gianluigi Buffon.

The Italian keeper then made another smart stop to deny Milinkovic-Savic before Balde Keita blasted an effort at goal from 25 yards, only to be denied by another fine save from Buffon.

Miroslav Klose could have brought his side back into the game to set up a tense finale, but his right-footed strike went over from close range after connecting with Marco Parolo's cross from the right.

Juventus managed to hold out to secure the three points to stay fifth in the table, while Stefano Pioli's men remain in 10th place.
