Team News: Italy, Republic of Ireland make widespread changes

Italy and the Republic of Ireland both make widespread changes to their starting lineups ahead of Wednesday's Group E meeting in Lille.

Italy and the Republic of Ireland have both made widespread changes to their starting lineups ahead of their Euro 2016 Group E meeting in Lille.

Martin O'Neill shuffles four players as Richard Keogh and Shane Duffy take over from John O'Shea and Ciaran Clark, while Glenn Whelan and Wes Hoolahan make way for James McClean and Daryl Murphy.

Antonio Conte, meanwhile, has made eight changes from the team that beat Sweden, with goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu in for the rested Gianluigi Buffon and Simone Zaza and Ciro Immobile leading the line.

Ireland are still in with a chance of making the last 16 of the tournament if they beat the Azzurri, who are assured of top spot in the group whatever happens.

Italy: Sirigu; Barzagli, Bonucci, Ogbonna; Bernardeschi, Sturaro, Motta, Florenzi, De Sciglio; Zaza, Immobile

Republic of Ireland: Randolph; Coleman, Duffy, Keogh, Ward; Hendrick, McClean, McCarthy, Brady; Murphy; Long
