Roberto Mancini facing "crunch talks" at Inter Milan

Inter Milan manager Roberto Mancini is apparently due to hold "crunch talks" about his future following the side's derby mauling at San Siro on Sunday.

AC Milan scored three unanswered goals to move within five points of their city rivals, who are now nine points adrift of league leaders Napoli.

According to PA, Mancini will now appear before the Inter board to explain a run of form that has seen them lose twice and draw twice in their last four league outings, as well as a comprehensive defeat at title rivals Juventus in the first leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final.

Speaking after the game on Sunday, Mancini told reporters: "It's definitely the worst January of my coaching career. I'm sorry for the fans and I apologise for how we lost the derby, but we'll get over this difficult period and get back to winning. I'm 100% sure of that."

The former Manchester City manager took charge in Milan in November 2014, guiding them to an eighth-place finish in Serie A last season.
