David Cameron to join Prince William at Wembley for England-France

British prime minister David Cameron will be in attendance at Tuesday's international friendly between England and France, four days after the terror attacks in Paris.

Downing Street has confirmed that British prime minister David Cameron will attend tonight's international friendly between England and France at Wembley.

There were doubts over whether the match would take place after Friday's terror attacks in Paris that have left at least 132 dead, but the French Football Federation decided to travel to London.

Cameron will join Prince William, who is president of the Football Association, at tonight's match, where all supporters will be encourage to sing along to the French national anthem before kickoff.

"The barbaric terrorist attacks in Paris have shocked the world, but also united us in our unwavering resolve to defeat this evil," Cameron told the BBC.

"Tonight at Wembley, football fans will join together to show their solidarity for the French people. They will send a clear message - the terrorists will never win."

There will be armed police and increased security checks, and supporters have been advised to arrive in plenty of time before the 8pm start.
