Preview: Empoli vs. AC Milan

Empoli vs. AC Milan

AC Milan have the chance to get back to winning ways on Tuesday when they travel to struggling Empoli in Serie A.

The Rossoneri suffered their first defeat of the season over the weekend with a narrow 1-0 loss at home to champions Juventus.

However, victory tomorrow night could see Filippo Inzaghi's side climb to the top of the table after four matches.

While Milan are competing at the higher end of the standings, Empoli are currently in the relegation zone following one draw and two defeats from their opening three games.

Their most recent outing saw them end a run of two consecutive defeats by fighting back from two goals down to draw 2-2 at Cesena.

Michael Essien has been ruled out for the visitors with a foot injury, while Jeremy Menez has been included in the squad after picking up an adductor problem against Juve. Meanwhile, reports have suggested that Fernando Torres could make his debut following his summer move from Chelsea.
