Derby County sign Ikechi Anya from Watford

Derby County have completed the signing of midfielder Ikechi Anya from Watford on a four-year deal.

The 28-year-old Scotland international has featured 99 times for the Hornets since 2013, including 28 times last season for their first season back in the Premier League.

"We're delighted to get Ikechi Anya here," said Rams manager Nigel Pearson. "I have met with him this evening and he is certainly a very enthusiastic individual.

"He gives us more balance to the squad and we have someone that is versatile in wide areas. He can play out wide, at full-back or as a wing-back. I'm really pleased with the potential that he brings to us."

Anya is the second player to move from Watford to Derby in the last week following the arrival of striker Matej Vydra at the weekend.
