Alan Pardew admits possible Crystal Palace move for Emmanuel Adebayor

Alan Pardew admits that Crystal Palace could move for former Tottenham Hotspur striker Emmanuel Adebayor if he is deemed the "right fit".

Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew has admitted that the Eagles are weighing up a possible move for Emmanuel Adebayor.

The Togolese striker is a free agent having left Tottenham Hotspur by mutual consent earlier this season.

Recent reports claimed that Palace were keen on signing the 31-year-old amid an injury crisis in attack, and Pardew did not distance the club from a move when quizzed today.

"We are trying to bring a striker in, whether it's permanent or on loan," Pardew told reporters. "Chairman Steve Parish and I are working on it.

"Emmanuel Adebayor is a player that's there for somebody. It's a question of teams like ourselves asking whether we're the right fit."

Former Spurs manager Harry Redknapp recently urged Premier League clubs to take a punt on Adebayor this month.
