If ever there was a chance of seeing two Premier League managers engage in a bit of fisty-cuffs, then surely it's these two - Tony Pulis and Alan Pardew. The latter would surely have a reach advantage, and an age advantage. But one clean headbutt from Pulis, with that cap, and it's curtains for Pardew. Okay so neither manager bears any ill-will toward the other, but with both coaches very much your heart on the sleeve-type, anything could happen. Failing that, at least we'll have a football match as Pardew's Crystal Palace host Pulis's West Bromwich Albion at Selhurst Park. Let's go.

Right, no time to beat around the bush. Let's get stuck into a bit of team news and we'll see what's what. Actually, scratch that; first, take a look at what the fellas down at Sports Mole HQ have had to say on this one. Then, we'll have a look at the first XIs.

Right, let's start with the hosts and I can tell you that Pardew makes two changes from that 1-0 win at Watford. First, Joe Ledley drops out for James McArthur at the base of their midfield, while Wilfried Zaha, who impressed at Vicarage Road, winning the decisive penalty, comes in for Bakary Sako, who was also excellent last week. Dwight Gayle spearheads the Eagles once more.

On to the Baggies now and Pulis makes just the one change from the 3-2 defeat by Everton, with Jonas Olsson dropping out of the squad as he's replaced in defence by Gareth McAuley. Further forward, Saido Berahino joins the stuttering Salomon Rondon in attack, with Berahino netting twice in his last two outings. Rondon, in his first season in the Premier League, has just the one goal to his name thus far.

Let's take a quick look at how both teams have fared in the early weeks of this season.

So, Palace got back to winning ways last weekend with a 1-0 victory at Watford, achieved via a Yohan Cabaye penalty on 71 minutes. Prior to that, the Eagles had lost their last two, going down to Manchester City and Spurs in results that, well, put a bit of a downer on their early-season form. They won nine points from a possible 12 - including a 2-1 win at Chelsea, which admittedly seemed more impressive then than now - with only Arsenal beating them in the first four games.

Pardew, as we know, has challenged them to finish in the top half, and another win here, against a Pulis-managed Baggies, would only consolidate the belief that they're heading for a top-10 finish. It's arguably one of the finest squads Palace have had in, hmm, 20 years! And Pardew is certainly getting the most out of them, isn't he?

And Albion? They've been up and down; a little bit see-saw-ish in the first two months or so. Pulis, who infamously left Palace days before the 2014-15 season kicked off, returns to Selhurst Park hoping to kick-start the Baggies' season again. They lost 3-2 to Everton last week, having won two of their previous three prior to that - 1-0 wins away to Stoke and Aston Villa. They've only won twice, with both coming away from The Hawthorns.

DID YOU KNOW? This is Pardew's 26th game as Palace boss, the same number as Pulis managed before calling it a day? You're probably wondering how both compare as far as Palace records go? Let's have a look. Well, they've won 14 of those, scoring 36 goals along the way under Pardew, while they only managed 11 wins and 26 goals under big Tony.

That being said, Pulis's Baggies are the only team in the division yet to concede an away goal this season. I wish I knew that before I backed a 3-0 home win. I'm not very good at bets.

PREDICTION! Let's try to justify said bet then. With Yannick Bolasie and Zaha on both wings, they've got more than enough talent out wide to give the visitors' full backs a torrid afternoon. Dwight Gayle, who missed a number of excellent chances last week, will get another glut of opportunities and I fancy him to take them. At the other end, Dann and Hangeland were superb at Vicarage Road and I reckon they'll get the better of Berahino and the misfiring Rondon. 3-0. Papa needs a new pair of shoes - or money to make more stupid bets. Who knows.

Five minutes! Some aren't looking forward to this, as you can tell above, but I fancy a decent game, laden with goals and incidents. Let's hope so.

KICKOFF: And we're off at Selhurst Park. Palace get us underway. Let's go.

SHOT! Berahino tries to channel the spirit of Dennis Bergkamp and lob Wayne Hennessey, and he did, but he also lobbed the crossbar and the first seven rows behind the goal.

Palace enjoyed a bit of pressure there as Cabaye and Puncheon fizzed in a couple of corners, but nothing doing.

SHOT! Bolasie picks Dawson's pocket before driving at goal from an angle and he looks to bend a side-footed effort beyond Myhill, but it's too central and the Baggies stopper makes an easy save. Promising.

CHANCE! This has to go down as a chance. Puncheon plays in Zaha down the left. The ex-Man United man cuts inside Brunt before pulling a left-footed drive just wide of the near post. We said the Baggies' full backs would be under pressure this afternoon and that's looked the case so far.

Dawson has had a terrible first 10 minutes. Really poor. He's just been heckled for failing to control a routine ball from Berahino and it rolls out for a Palace throw. His confidence is dipping swiftly.

SHOT! Better from Albion as McLean cuts inside a few red and blue shirts before thrashing over the bar from outside the box. It was well over, but that's promising for the visitors.

BOOKING: McLean certainly likes a tackle and his late challenge on Souare is punished with a yellow card. It's a good, feisty game this.

SHOT! Excellent work from Zaha here as he makes a mug of Brunt and floats the ball into the area. It drops to Bolasie, who works an angle but his shot, again, is straight at Myhill. Palace the better side in this first 18 minutes.

Yacob has had a good first 20 minutes. He's been in the right place at the right time on a host of occasions, and here's another as he concedes a corner to prevent Zaha from running through.

SUB: Hmm, that's an odd one. Jonny Evans makes way for former Hull man James Chester. He must be injured.

SHOT! Chris Brunt fires over from James Morrison's ball and he gets clattered in the face by Zaha, which was completely accidental. There's blood, which isn't ideal for a Saturday morning, but cest la vie.

This is superb from Zaha. He shows excellent class to bring down a dropping ball, before showing excellent strength to hold off Morrison, before the big bruiser Yacob takes him out. Free kick in a good position this.

Good defending by the Baggies as they clear the danger from that free kick, before Cabaye thrashes well over the bar.

Little Dwight Gayle has been something of a passenger in this first half-hour or so. He's barely had a sniff. He's got excellent wide men either side of him but they're not linking up together.

SHOT! Fierce volley by Cabaye as he fizzes it at goal from about 25 yards, but it's straight at Myhill. It's been all Palace.

At the other end, Berahino and Rondon have been totally isolated. They're feeding off scraps and there isn't much to feed off it has to be said. In football terms, they're malnourished.

Gayle goes down inside the box but referee Jon Moss is having none of it. Rightly so - never in a million years a penalty.

SAVE! Finally a meaningful save as Zaha's near-post effort is denied by the strong hand of Myhill. Zaha's been excellent in this half.

Five minutes until the break and Palace still dominating, but it looks like we're going into the break goalless - unless something happens in the final few minutes.

SHOT! Brilliant from Zaha. He's been so good. He skips by Brunt and McLean, before thrashing at goal from an impossible angle and Myhill makes another save.

Goalless, but we've certainly had chances; most of which came from Palace as Zaha had two good chances saved by Myhill. Other than that, very little to note. The hosts utterly, utterly dominant, but West Brom showing why they're yet to concede an away goal this season. Gayle hasn't had a sniff.

KICKOFF: And we're back! Gardner is on for Berahino and surely he'll help out Brunt a little on that left-hand side. He needs all the help he can get!

Cabaye picks up a sore one here after Gardner treaded on his ankle. Ouch. Thankfully, he's back in action now.

Our 3-0 home win looks a bit optimistic, doesn't it? I also did Bolasie first goal, which also looks a bit optimistic. Still, it's the kind of game where the first goal could easily lead to two or three. Probably. Maybe.

That 15-minute break zapped Palace's momentum completely. It's a totally different game compared to the first half. Neither side doing a lot.

Pape Souare delivers a very decent cross into the box now, but Gayle, who is only about 5 foot 7, can't jump high enough. It's flatter than a desk this from Palace.

Much better from Palace as they slowly but surely find the form which saw them dominate the first half. It's excellent from Bolasie down the right-hand side as he gets to the byline before pulling back for Puncheon, but Rondon is back there to clean up.

We've reached the hour mark then Palace still toiling. The Baggies only want a point and it'll be very hard to take all three off this afternoon. Very hard.

BOOKING: Substitute Chester goes into the book for fouling Gayle and Cabaye will fizz this in. He tries to, but it doesn't even beat the first man. Terrible.

This game is crying out for Bakary Sako. Palace need something different. Zaha has gone a bit quiet. So has Bolasie and Sako, despite being a similar player, still offers something different.

It's a truly brilliant cross from Cabaye and Bolasie, who we said should be replaced, headed home at the back post for his first goal in three years. Well done him.

SUB: Callum McManaman replaces James Morrison and that'll change the dynamic somewhat.

The Baggies showing a little more adventure in recent minutes, but Palace's defence isn't bad either you know and it remains to be seen if there's anything for them in this clash.

SUB: Frazier Campbell came on for Gayle a moment ago I think. Lord knows how Gayle lasted so long. He was dreadful.

Ten minutes to go. Ten minutes for West Brom to nick something and, in truth, it doesn't look good. They're not doing much up there.

Superb ball in from Pape Souare here but it's just ahead of Campbell. Palace still on top. Pulis doesn't look happy in the slightest.

Five minutes and West Brom have a corner! They've got some big bruisers so this is a chance.

Nope. Bolasie defends well and he clears the danger. Albion have been terrible.

BOOKING: Claudio Yacob goes into the book, as does Zaha following a bit of a melee. Good refereeing. No red card needed.

PENALTY TO PALACE! Zaha wins a penalty off Brunt. Stonewaller.

Stick a fork in it. Cabaye dispatches this with aplomb and it's 2-0. He's made one and scored one.
