Didier Drogba gives up on new Chelsea deal

Drogba to stop Chelsea contract talks?

Didier Drogba has reportedly decided to abandon Chelsea after months of contract negotiations with the club.

It is believed that the Ivorian striker wants a two-year extension at Stamford Bridge but the two parties have failed to come to an agreement.

"Didier did want to stay," The Express quotes a source as saying. "But it has gone too far now. He has a number of offers."

It is thought that the 33-year-old may join former Blues teammate Nicolas Anelka at Shanghai Shenhua this month or at the end of the season.
