Harry Arter: 'Nathan Ake good enough for parent club Chelsea'

Arter: 'Ake good enough for Chelsea'

On-loan Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake is good enough to start for Chelsea, according to Cherries teammate Harry Arter.

The 21-year-old arrived at the Vitality Stadium in June on a season-long loan and has scored three goals in eight league appearances for the south coast club.

Arter told Sky Sports News: "Nathan deserves all the plaudits he's getting at the moment.

"I've no doubt that next year he'll go back to Chelsea and play in their side. I personally feel he's more than good enough, especially with the system they're playing now.

"And it's a credit to him because he's worked really hard, even when he wasn't in the team, and he deserves all the praise he's getting."

Ake is not eligible to play against his parent club when Bournemouth travel to Stamford Bridge on Boxing Day.
