Preview: Burnley vs. Charlton Athletic

Sports Mole previews the Championship encounter between Burnley and Charlton Athletic at Turf Moor.

Burnley and Charlton Athletic head into this weekend's Championship showdown hoping to propel themselves towards the playoff places.

The hosts, seeking to bounce back from last weekend's disappointing 2-1 defeat at Ipswich Town, could be without the services of Ben Mee due to a foot injury.

Manager Sean Dyche is likely to replace the defender with Danny Lafferty, who turned out for Northern Ireland in midweek.

Charlton, who have won their last two league games, could hand a debut to Eggert Jonsson after signing the player on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

A win from the visitors would draw them level with their opponents on points, and potentially leap frog them on goal difference and break into the top half.

Recent form:

Burnley: WWLWWL

Charlton: LDDLWW

Possible lineups:

Burnley: Grant; Trippier, Lafferty, Duff, Shackell; McCann, Wallace, Marney, Stock; Paterson, Austin

Charlton: Hamer; Solly, Morrison, Dervite, Kerker; Jonsson; Haynes, Pritchard, Stephens, Jackson; Hulse

Sports Mole says: 1-1
