Half-Time Report: Bradford City leading Aston Villa at Valley Parade

Nahki Wells's strike is all that separates Bradford City and Aston Villa at Valley Parade.

Bradford City lead Aston Villa at the half-time interval of their Capital One Cup semi-final first-leg encounter at Valley Parade.

The visitors settled quickly and carved out a few good opportunities from which they could have taken the lead.

Christian Benteke, Andreas Weimann and Charles N'Zogbia were all guilty culprits, and Villa were soon punished for their profligacy.

A cleared corner was driven back into Villa's area, and Nahki Wells was on hand to slot the ball past Shay Given.

The hosts could have been even further ahead had Fabian Delph not hacked James Hanson's effort off the line in the 36th minute.

However, Villa were again knocking on the door moments before half time, as Matt Duke - Bradford's hero against Arsenal - was called upon to deny Gabriel Agbonlahor from levelling the score.
