Paris Saint-Germain travelled to Bordeaux on Friday knowing that they would move to the top of the table with a win.
The Ligue 1 champions went into the match on the back of consecutive wins, while Les Girondins found themselves just a point above the relegation zone.
However, it was the champions who moved back to the head of the division after a deserved victory.

9.27pmHere are the full-time stats.
9.24pmIt was a deserved win for Laurent Blanc's side, who got their tactics spot on today, and punished Bordeaux on the counter attack. Matuidi and Lucas with goals in either half. Ibrahimovic, along with the aforementioned Brazilian, was outstanding.
9.23pmWell that's that for PSG, who moved to the top of the Ligue 1 table following that win. They may only be there for a matter of hours, but after their slow start, the champions are back in the fight.
90+3 minFULL TIME: Bordeaux 0-2 Paris Saint-Germain
90 minWe'll have three minutes of added time.
87 minSince the changes the match has really died down. It's job done as far as PSG are concerned.
83 minPSG have been lethal on the counter attack in this second half. Following Lucas' substitution, it will be interesting to see if that carries on.
82 minPSG CHANGE Lucas, who along with Ibrahimovic has been the best player on the pitch tonight, has also been taken off. 17-year-old Kingsley Coman comes on.
81 minPSG CHANGE £55m Edinson Cavani is on in place of Ibrahimovic. The Swede, despite not scoring, has had a great match.
80 minYELLOW CARD Verratti, who else, goes into the book for PSG after a late challenge on Poko.
79 minIbrahimovic nearly finds himself a goal but can only hit the side-netting after moving past Carrasso.
78 minMISS! That should have been that. PSG have a great chance for a third as Bordeaux are caught playing a high line, and Lucas plays a pass inside over the top. It beats Ibrahimovic but falls to Rabiot, who has all the time in the world to compose himself. However, he shoots horribly over from close range. That was poor and his teammates aren't happy.
77 minCLOSE! Ibrahimovic and Lucas are running rings around Bordeaux here. The Brazilian gasses it down the left before cutting inside and scooping a lovely pass over the top of the backline into the box. Ibrahimovic runs onto it and lifts it over Carrasso, but his effort goes agonisingly wide of the far post.
76 minCHANCE Rabiot brings the ball forward down the middle and has a pop at goal after not being closed down. His low effort boasts a lot of power, but bounces wide of the right post.
74 minBORDEAUX CHANGES Saivet and Diabate have made way for Jussie and Hadi Sacko.
74 minPSG are pushing for a third, and you would fancy them here. Looks as if they are going top of Ligue 1 tonight.
72 minPSG CHANGE Adrien Rabiot has just entered the fray in place of Ongenda.
70 minDOUBLE SAVE! PSG are nearly out of site as Ibrahimovic runs on to a pass down the right and smashes it across goal. Carrasso is there to save the ball with his hands before blocking the rebound with his legs after a shot from Digne on the left of the area.
69 minPSG are in full flow now, as Lucas storms down the right again before pulling the ball back on the edge of the box to Matuidi. He gets his shot away but is blocked by Mariano. The loose ball falls on the left to Ongenda, but he slips as he shoots and Bordeaux regain the ball.
66 minBelieve it or not, that was Lucas' first goal since joining PSG in January. You would fancy the champions to see it out from here now.
64 minLucas has just pulled off a very cheeky piece of skill that has landed PSG their second goal. Verratti has the ball in the early stages of the Bordeaux half, and plays a long pass down the right to Lucas. The Brazilian stays onside and then races into the box to draw at Carrasso. Lucas brilliant dummies a shot by merely twisting his legs before slotting the ball into the back of the net after Carrasso has already gone down. Genius.
64 minGOAL! Bordeaux 0-2 Paris Saint-Germain (Lucas)
63 minIt's not a great delivery however, and is straight at Carrasso to catch.
62 minIbrahimovic, who is causing problems all the time for Bordeaux, wins a corner for his side.
60 minA lot more goalmouth action so far in this half compared to the first. Bordeaux have been able to use their possession wisely and create a couple of opportunities.
59 minSAVE! Ibrahimovic picks up the ball on the edge of the box off the back of a counter attack and slams an effort at goal. It's straight at Carrasso, but the shot has so much power that it bounces off his shins and out of play.
57 minBordeaux have started this second half just as well as they started the match. They have had the odd chance, but PSG are looking very resolute and composed.
55 minOngenda is currently down in the centre of the field receiving some medical attention after being caught late from behind. He has just trudged off the pitch, but looks likely to come back on.
52 minDiabate nearly creates a chance for Bordeaux, after a nice turn takes him away from Silva and into the box on the left. He is about to pull the trigger, but Alex is on hand to slide in and concede the corner.
48 minSAVE! Bordeaux nearly find an equaliser as Diabate creeps in following a mix up in communication between Alex and Van der Wiel. The striker gets his shot away, but it is saved by Sirigu.
46 minKICKOFF! PSG get the second half underway and are shooting from left to right.
8.34pmThe two teams are back out for this half, and it doesn't look as if any changes have been made.

8.19pmHere are some half-time stats.
8.19pmChances have been few and far between in the opening 45 minutes, but PSG have taken theirs to lead. Bordeaux started well, but have been unable to really test Sirigu and get the ball back off the champions.
8.18pmSo not the most exciting of first halfs, but Blaise Matuidi has given Paris Saint-Germain a deserved lead at the break following a wonderful Ibrahimovic pass.
45+2 minHALF TIME: Bordeaux 0-1 Paris Saint-Germain
45+2 minDiego Rolan has a strike from long range, but it's low, bobbling and was never going to trouble Sirigu as it sails wide.
45+1 minBordeaux pressing at the end of this half as Saivet weaves his way into a crowded PSG box. However, there are too many bodies back, and he can't get a shot away.
45 minWe'll have two minutes of added time at the end of this first half.
44 minSAVE! Obraniak shoots centrally from distance for the hosts, but it is well saved by Sirigu.
43 minThe amount of yellow cards is starting to pile up for the home side, who seem increasingly frustrated about their lack of possession in this match. Apart from the opening five minutes, it has practically been all PSG.
42 minYELLOW CARD Ludovic Obraniak is the latest man to go in the book after catching Motta late.
39 minLucas, again, wins a free kick for PSG after drawing a foul on the edge of the box from Mariano. It's almost like a short corner for PSG, and Bordeaux can easily clear the danger.
38 minDigne is looking a lot more assured at left back now after a rough opening 10 minutes. Seems to have calmed down and is playing some nice stuff now.
36 minLucas bombs down the right and wins a corner for away side.
35 minYou wouldn't like Ibrahimovic when he is angry.
34 minThiago Motta has gone off the pitch injured and may need to be substituted. Meanwhile, Ibrahimovic is livid after getting a slap across the face from Henrique following an aerial challenge for the ball.
33 minHervin Ongenda deserves some plaudits as well for his role in the goal. But the pass from Ibrahimovic was sublime.
30 minFinally, the first real chance of the game, and the first goal of the game. It' wonderful football from PSG, as Ongenda passes backwards to Ibrahimovic, before the striker picks out the run of Matuidi on the left of the box with a brilliant low ball. Matuidi takes a touch before firing it Carrasso, but it goes straight through the goalkeeper and Matuidi is there to beat him to the goal line and make sure that it goes into the back of the net. Scrappy, but PSG won't care. The champions lead.
30 minGOAL! Bordeaux 0-1 Paris Saint-Germain (Blaise Matuidi)
28 minMatuidi breaks through the backline and powers his way through before having his shot saved by Carrasso. Had he found the back of the net, it wouldn't have counted anyway due to the offside flag.
24 minLucas Orban is having a fine debut for Bordeaux so far at left-back. He is looking very assured and has made a number of good challenges already, which is probably the reason for the lacks of goalmouth action.
21 minIt's woeful from the Swede, who blazes his right-footed shot high over the crossbar. That was almost the perfect position for Ibrahimovic as well, and he should have really done better.
21 minIbrahimovic is lining this one up from about 25 yards out, just left of centre.
20 minYELLOW CARD Henrique is given the first booking of the night after smashing into Lucas on the edge of the box. The Brazilian's momentum certainly helped him, as he flew over the knee of the defender.
18 minOne area that could be a worry for PSG tonight is their midfield trio. There is plenty of talent between Verratti, Matuidi and Motta, but they sure are volatile, and there is plenty of potential for a card or two among them.
17 minYou may remember that these two sides met before the season begun in the French Super Cup. PSG ran out 2-1 winners on that day, but Bordeaux gave them a real run for their money.
16 minNo real chances so far in this match, but after their shaky start, PSG are now in control. Ibrahimovic looks to be in the mood tonight, which is very good news for Laurent Blanc and his side.
12 minAlex sticks out an apologetic hand to Carrasso as he leaps into the keeper as he attempts to connect with his head. Free kick given.
12 minSaivet gives away a free kick on the right touchline, and PSG have a chance to cross the ball into the box.
8 minNow Lucas goes down after a clash in midair. Bodies are flying all over the place in this opening 10 minutes.
7 minWell that's bad luck. Digne comes back into the action and immediately gets clattered by Mariano before again landing on his arm. This is going to be a worry for the 20-year-old.
6 minPlay is held up for a couple of minutes as Digne lands awkwardly on his arm. He is taken off and sprayed by the medical team and looks good to carry on.
4 minPSG starting to enjoy a bit more possession now, but Bordeaux are quickly pressing the away side. The Stade Chaban-Delmas sounds up for this clash tonight.
3 minDecent start from the hosts, who are straight away looking to target debutant Digne down the right. They've had a corner cleared away, and fluffed a shot inside the box in the opening few minutes.
2 minBordeaux are sporting their all navy home strip with red trim. While PSG are wearing their white away strip, with navy and red blocks on the shirt.
1 minKICKOFF! Bordeaux get the match underway and shoot from left to right in this first half.
7.31pmPSG BENCH: Douchez, Jallet, Marquinhos, Maxwell, Rabiot, Cavani, Coman
7.30pmBORDEAUX BENCH: Olimpa, Brechet, Poundje, Ben Khalfallah, Jussie, Maurice-Belay, Sacko
7.29pmThe two teams are out and ready for kick off. So let's bring you the two benches.
7.28pmMaxwell, Javier Pastore and record signing Edinson Cavani all drop out of the starting XI, with Pastore out of the squad completely. Lucas Digne makes his debut at left-back, Hervin Ongenda makes his full debut on the wing, while Lucas come in on the other flank.
7.26pmPSG XI: Sirigu, Digne, Alex, Silva, Van der Wiel, Matuidi, Motta, Verratti, Ongenda, Moura, Ibrahimovic
7.25pmFrancis Gillot has made three changes to his side that lost to Saint-Etienne last time out. Maxime Poundje, Jaroslav Plasil and Nicolas Maurice-Belay all drop out of the starting XI, while Lucas Orban, Landry N'Guemo and Diego Rolan all come in.
7.23pmBORDEAUX XI: Carrasso, Mariano, Henrique, Sane, Orban, Poko, Nguemo, Obraniak, Diabate, Rolan, Saivet
7.16pmRight, let's bring you some team news.
7.15pmMeanwhile, Bordeaux have had a disappointing beginning to their campaign. Les Girondins lost to Monaco before drawing with Toulouse. However, they secured a win over Bastia in their third outing before following that up with a 2-1 defeat to Saint-Etienne.
7.13pmBlanc has endured a mixed start to his tenure at PSG. The champions drew their opening two matches against Montpellier HSC and Ajaccio, before earning back-to-back victories over Nantes and Guingamp. They can go top tonight however should they win, ahead of the rest of the weekend's fixtures.
7.10pmBlanc: "Bordeaux is a city I really like. The people there are quite reserved, like me. I like that mentality. I had three great years there and only have happy memories. It is a pleasure to go back to Bordeaux."
7.10pmHere is what Blanc has had to say about his return to Bordeaux.
7.08pmHowever, Blanc has recently taken over the reigns from Carlo Ancelotti at the Ligue 1 champions, and will be fully focussed on making it three wins in a row for the Parisiens.
7.07pmThere is only one place to start ahead of this fixture and that is with PSG boss Laurent Blanc. The 47-year-old will be in the away dugout tonight for the first time as he prepares to face his old club. Blanc spent three years at Stade Chaban-Delmas, where he won league and Couple de la Ligue double in 2009 before leaving to take over as the manager of the French national side.
7.05pmGood evening and welcome to Sports Mole's live coverage from Stade Chaban-Delmas where Bordeaux host Paris Saint-Germain in Ligue 1.
