Good afternoon and thank you for joining Sports Mole for live text commentary of the Bundesliga match between Bayern Munich and Hamburger SV at the Allianz Arena.

Today’s meeting sees the Bundesliga leaders Bayern, who are unbeaten in 41 league games, take on Hamburg, who sit 13th in the table.

Bayern will be looking to bounce back from their 3-2 defeat to Manchester City in the Champions League. They were two goals ahead just 12 minutes into the game, but threw away the lead and were just one goal away from being overtaken in the group.

Despite their defeat in Europe, Bayern have won their last seven games in the league and remain unbeaten after their first 15 Bundesliga fixtures. They are currently four points clear of Bayer Leverkusen at the top of the league.

BAYERN MUNICH XI: Neuer, Rafinha, Contento, Van Buyten, Dante, Lahm, Thiago, Kroos, Gotze, Muller, Mandzukic

HAMBURG XI: Drobny, Rincon, Jansen, Badelj, Tah, Djourou, Arslan, Van der Vaart, Lasogga, Daogari, Calhanoglu

BAYERN MUNICH SUBS: Starke, Kirchhoff, Hojbjerg, Alaba, Shaqiri, Ribery, Pizarro

HAMBURG SUBS: Neuhaus, Mancienne, Rudnevs, Sobiech, Lam, Jiracek, Tesche

The last time these two teams met, Bayern claimed a sensational 9-2 win, with Claudio Pizarro scoring four of those goals.

Last weekend they thrashed Werder Bremen 7-0, to take their tally to 39 goals scored in the league this season.

Hamburg will be looking to recover from last weekend’s 1-0 defeat to Augsburg, but will be well aware of the challenge that faces them today. They have won two of their seven away league games, but face a Bayern side that have won all eight of their home fixtures.

PREDICTION: I fully expect Bayern to bounce back from their defeat in Europe with a victory at home today. They have been in stunning form in the league and should stretch their winning run to eight games. Hamburg have leaked goals away from home and I don’t see things being any different today. A 3-0 win to Bayern is how I see this one ending.

KICKOFF! We are underway at the Allianz Arena.

YELLOW CARD! Van der Vaart has picked up an early booking for the visitors for a late challenge.

YELLOW CARD! Hamburg have picked up their second booking in the opening four minutes, as keeper Drobny is cautioned.

Bayern have seen more of the ball in the opening stages of this game, but it has been very scrappy so far, with quite a few late tackles flying in.

Hamburg put together a good team move down the right hand side and manage to get the ball back across the box, but there is no one on hand to latch onto it.

CHANCE! Kroos has the first sight of goal in the game, as he picks the ball up on the edge of the box, before firing in a low effort that is well held by the keeper.

Dante attempts to find Muller with a low pass from long range, but it is well cut out by the centre backs.

CHANCE! Hamburg register their first shot of the game as Calhanoglu lets fly from long range, but it is comfortable for Neuer who keeps hold of the low strike.

Bayern have the ball in the back of the net as Muller latches onto Gotze's through ball, before rounding the keeper and slotting home, but the flag is rightly raised by the assistant.

The home side are starting to take control of this game, and are working it well between their midfielders, as they look for gaps in the Hamburg defence.

Badelj does well to work himself some space just outside the box, but his strike on goal is poor, and he scuffs it well wide.

Bayern are yet to find their usual flowing game, and have given the ball away cheaply in some promising attacking positions.

The home side win a corner, and it is whipped into the box where Dante meets it, but it is a poor header from the defender and it goes wide of the post.

The hosts have put a number of crosses into the box, but Hamburg have dealt well with their attempts so far.

Hamburg burst forward on a rare foray into their opponents half and manage to win a corner kick.

Van der Vaart whips in the set piece, but Neuer shows great authority to come out and claim the ball.

CHANCE! Thiago picks up the ball just outside the box, before working some space to shoot on his right foot. His effort is hit straight at the keeper, who spills the ball, but luckily there is no one on hand to capitalise and he gathers at the second attempt.

Bayern have a good chance to deliver a dangerous ball into the middle, after winning a free on the left hand side.

CHANCE! Kroos takes the set piece and whips in a brilliant ball, that Mandzukic meets in the middle, but his header flashes just wide of the post.

Bayern are camped inside the visitors half, who are unable to clear the ball away. They are increasing the pressure pushing more players forward, and surely it is only a matter of time before they make their dominance count.

GOAL! Bayern Munich 1-0 Hamburger SV (Mandzukic)

Bayern have the lead that they deserve! Kroos plays a wonderful ball over the top for Rafinha, who delivers a cross into the middle that Mandzukic heads in from close range.

Hamburg win a free kick just inside the Bayern half that Van der Vaart whips into the box. It is met by Lasogga, but he puts his header wide of the post.

HALF-TIME: Bayern Munich 1-0 Hamburger SV

Bayern Munich lead at half time thanks to Mandzukic's goal, that has put his side on their way to an eighth successive league win. There hasn't been too many big chances on goal, but they deserve the lead for their dominance in possession and attacking intent shown throughout.

The home side's dominance in the first 45 minutes is underlined by the huge amount of possession they have had. They have seen 77% of the ball, compared to Hamburg's 23%.

Bayern have yet to really click into first gear, but have done their job so far. As for Hamburg, their manager will be glad that they have fared better than last year's 9-2 mauling, and with the score at just 1-0, there is every chance for them today.

Hamburg kick off and get the second half started.

CHANCE! Hamburg almost have the perfect start to the half, as Lasogga bursts through the middle, before unleashing a strike from the edge of the box, but his effort goes wide of the post.

Thiago does well to squeeze a pass through to Mandzukic, but he is forced wide and his ball into the middle is straight into the keeper's hands.

GOAL! Bayern Munich 2-0 Hamburger SV (Gotze)

The home side are two goals in front, and it's a classy finish from Gotze. The midfielder receives the ball just inside the box from Thiago, and after controlling the ball with his first touch, he swivels and fires an effort into the bottom corner that gives the keeper no chance.

Hamburg win a free kick just outside the box, after Zoua's powerful run is brought to an end by Van Buyten.

Calhanoglu takes the set piece and fires it over the bar.

Hamburg haven't given up and get the ball into the box, where Zoua tries his luck, but his strike is well blocked by Van Buyten.

The visitors put together a good move down the left flank, but from Van der Vaart's ball into the middle, there is no one there to latch onto the pass and Bayern clear.

SUBSTITUTION: Goalscorer Gotze makes way, and Ribery is on to take his place.

Ribery shows his first flashes of skill since coming on when he weaves his way to the byline and whips in a cross to the back post for Muller. It is slightly too long though, and he can't stretch enough to direct an effort on target.

Bayern win a corner and Kroos's delivery into the middle is cleared to Thiago, who is 25 yards out from goal. The midfielder tries his luck from long range, but his powerful effort is struck high over the bar.

CHANCE! Lasogga wastes a big opportunity for the home side. Hamburg pass the ball around well and manage to work it to the striker on the edge of the box, but he drags his effort wide of the goal.

CHANCE! Hamburg come close again as Van der Vaart gets his head on a whipped ball into the box, but it is too close to Neuer who makes the save and holds on.

SUBSTITUTION: Hamburg make a change, with Calhanoglu being replaced by Jiracek.

SUBSTITUTION: Bayern make their second change of the match, as Shaqiri replaces Muller.

Ribery is inches away from latching onto a long ball over the top, but Drobny is quick off his line to come out and claim just before he can get a touch.

SUBSTITUTION: Bayern make their final change of the game, as Kroos is given a rest, with Hojbjerg taking his place.

Hamburg win a free kick to the right hand side of Bayern's area, and Van der Vaart fires in a strike, but it is hit straight at the keeper.

SUBSTITUTION: Hamburg make a change, with Lam coming on.

GOAL! Bayern Munich 2-1 Hamburger SV (Lasogga)

This game isn't over yet! Jansen bursts down the left hand side, before pulling the ball back to the edge of the area for Lasogga, who places a fine effort high past Neuer.

Hamburg will have three minutes of added time to try and grab a second goal.

CHANCE! Lahm delivers a fine ball into the middle that Mandzukic meets, but heads straight at the keeper. Moments later, Shaqiri fires in an effort from the edge of the box, that Drobny does well to beat away.

GOAL! Bayern Munich 3-1 Hamburger SV (Shaqiri)

Shaqiri has made sure of the three points for Bayern today! He is played into the box by Hojbjerg, and keeps his cool to slide a low effort past the keeper.

FULL-TIME: Bayern Munich 3-1 Hamburger SV

Bayern Munich have beaten Hamburg to make it eight league wins in a row and have moved seven points clear at the top of the Bundesliga. Hamburg gave them a scare late on thanks to Lasogga's strike, but they held firm and confirmed the win thanks to Shaqiri's finish.

That's all we have time for here. Please stay with us at Sports Mole for all of the day's results and news. Enjoy the rest of your weekend, goodbye!
