Arturo Vidal bemoans missed Bayern Munich chances

Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal believes that Atletico Madrid's clinical finishing was the difference between the two sides in their Champions League semi-final.

Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal has claimed that Atletico Madrid's clinical finishing was the difference between the two sides in their Champions League semi-final.

Bayern picked up a 2-1 win over Diego Simeone's side in the second leg at the Allianz Arena this evening, but it was not enough to progress as Atleti reached the final on away goals.

Vidal believes that Bayern were the better team in both legs, but admitted that Atletico were more ruthless in front of goal.

"We were the better side in both games but they took their chances well and for that they're in the final," he told reporters.

Bayern have now been eliminated by Spanish opposition at the semi-final stage of the Champions League in each of the past three seasons.
