Experienced midfielder Ivan Rakitic is prepared to leave Barcelona in the January transfer window, according to a report.

Ivan Rakitic is reportedly prepared to leave Barcelona in the January transfer window.

The Croatia international was strongly linked with a move away from the Spanish champions during the summer, with Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus all credited with an interest.

Rakitic ultimately stayed at Camp Nou beyond the transfer deadline, but the midfielder has struggled for regular action in the early stages of the 2019-20 campaign.

The 2018 World Cup finalist was not even in the squad for Tuesday's La Liga clash with Villarreal despite being available for selection.

According to Tuttosport, Rakitic is now keen to leave Barca when the winter transfer window opens for business, and the playmaker is likely to have offers from both Juve and PSG.

The 31-year-old has made 272 appearances for the La Liga champions in all competitions - winning three league titles, four Copa del Reys and one Champions League in the process.
