Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona to battle for Joao Cancelo?

Barcelona are reportedly ready to go head to head with Paris Saint-Germain for the signature of Valencia's Joao Cancelo.

Cancelo, 22, joined Valencia from Benfica in the summer of 2014, initially on loan, before the deal was made permanent in 2015.

The Portuguese full-back made 33 appearances for Los Che during the 2015-16 campaign and according to Sport, his performances have attracted the attention of two of the biggest clubs in European football.

The report claims that PSG are confident of completing a deal, but Barcelona are prepared to battle the French champions for a player that could cost upwards of £18m.

Cancelo missed out on a spot in the Portugal squad for this summer's European Championships.
