Paris Saint-Germain will be in breach of UEFA's financial fair play regulations if they sign Neymar from Barcelona, according to La Liga president Javier Tebas.

La Liga president Javier Tebas has threatened to report Paris Saint-Germain for breaching financial fair play rules if they push ahead with their attempt to sign Neymar from Barcelona.

The Brazil international is reportedly close to completing a record-breaking switch between the two European heavyweights, likely for a sum of £199m - the cost to trigger his release clause.

Tebas has cast doubt on the proposed transfer, though, as he feels that football governing body UEFA will first step in to block a deal going through due to the Qatari-backed club's breach of regulations.

"Even if they don't pay the release clause we will report them," he told Marca. "They cannot make up some commercial numbers that are bigger than Barcelona or Real Madrid. Nobody believes that, which means that the state of Qatar is injecting money and that violates financial fair play."

PSG were previously fined for breaking rules regarding FFP in 2014, thought to be due to their controversial contract with the Qatar Tourism Authority to fund big-money moves.
