Inter Milan CEO Giuseppe Marotta refuses to rule out the prospect of striker Lautaro Martinez leaving the club next summer amid interest from Barcelona.

Inter Milan CEO Giuseppe Marotta has refused to rule out the prospect of striker Lautaro Martinez leaving the club next summer amid interest from Barcelona.

The Argentine has emerged on the radar of top clubs following a strong run of form that has seen him score 13 goals in all competitions since August.

Reports have claimed that Barcelona have made signing Martinez a priority next summer as they seek to replace Luis Suarez, who turns 33 next month.

Speaking on the subject of Martinez, Marotta told Sports Mediaset: "If Lautaro wants to leave we will evaluate the situation.

"We are Inter and we don't necessarily have to sell to anyone. We want to grow up with important young players like Lautaro and Romelu Lukaku.

"If Lautaro wants to continue with us, we will be happy. He is with us right now."

Contrary to earlier reports, sources have suggested that Inter are not entering contract talks with Martinez, whose current deal lasts until 2023 and has a release clause of around £93m.
