Paris Saint-Germain's Marquinhos rejects Barcelona talk

Marquinhos insists that he is happy at Paris Saint-Germain amid reported interest from Spanish champions Barcelona.

Paris Saint-Germain defender Marquinhos has insisted that he is "really good in Paris" amid reports that Barcelona are still interested in signing the Brazilian centre-back.

The 22-year-old was strongly linked with a move to Barcelona in the summer, while Chelsea were also credited with an interest before the Blues re-signed David Luiz from PSG.

It has been claimed that the Spanish champions are still in the hunt for Marquinhos, but the centre-back has played down suggestions that he could seek a move away from his current club.

"An offer from Barcelona? PSG have always had great faith in me," he told Canal Football Club. "Towards the end of last season I started to get more game time.

"Would I say no to Barcelona? I have no need to tell them anything, because PSG will not sell me. Could I join the Catalans later? For now, I want to make my life in Paris if everything continues like this. I am really good in Paris right now."

Marquinhos joined PSG from Italian giants Roma in the summer of 2013.
