Luis Suarez returns to Barcelona squad

Luis Suarez returns to the Barcelona squad for Saturday night's La Liga clash with Valencia at Camp Nou.

Luis Suarez is in line to make his return for Barcelona in Saturday night's La Liga clash with Valencia.

The Uruguay international has been on the sidelines since picking up a calf problem on the opening night of the 2019-20 La Liga campaign against Athletic Bilbao.

Suarez has been included in the squad for Saturday's match against Los Che, though, and the centre-forward is expected to return to the starting XI for Ernesto Valverde's side.

The 32-year-old has scored over 20 La Liga goals in his last four campaigns with the club and will boost a team that are still without the services of the injured Lionel Messi.

The Spanish champions are currently eighth in the table on four points having won just one of their three La Liga matches this term.

Following this weekend's clash, Barca will travel to Borussia Dortmund for their first Champions League group match on Tuesday night before visiting Granada in La Liga.
