Report: Atletico Madrid in Cedric Bakambu talks with Villarreal

Atletico Madrid are reportedly locked in talks with Villarreal over a summer move for Cedric Bakambu.

The 25-year-old joined the Yellow Submarine from Bursaspor last summer and has scored 22 times in 43 appearances for his Spanish club this season - including nine goals in the Europa League.

According to AS, Atletico have been in talks with Villarreal for more than one month as they attempt to bring the DR Congo forward to the Vicente Calderon at the end of the season.

Bakambu, who signed a five-year deal at El Madrigal upon his arrival last summer, has netted 12 times in La Liga this term.
