Fabian Delph: 'I understand why supporters are frustrated'

Delph: 'Fans right to be frustrated'

Aston Villa midfielder Fabian Delph has claimed that he understands why the club's supporters have voiced their frustration this season.

A disappointing campaign has seen Villa head into the final four games just five points above the relegation zone, and Delph admits that he doesn't blame the fans for booing below-par performances.

"You can understand the frustration," the 24-year-old told the Daily Mail. "Nobody is more frustrated than the gaffer himself most likely. The fans have been great all season, they are entitled to have a moan.

"If I was in the stand seeing Delphy give it away every two minutes I'd probably have a go. I'd be screaming, 'Delph, what you doing?' But they've stuck with us."

Villa travel to Wales to face Swansea City on Saturday afternoon.
