Mario Balotelli's agent insists that he has not met with Arsene Wenger to discuss a possible move for the Italy striker from AC Milan to Arsenal.

Mario Balotelli's agent Mino Raiola has calmed speculation linking the AC Milan forward to Arsenal by insisting that he has not met with manager Arsene Wenger.

The 23-year-old is said to be desperate to join Arsenal this summer after he was made the scapegoat for Italy's exit from the World Cup in Brazil.

However, Milan have insisted that the former Manchester City star is not for sale, while Wenger has described the transfer link as "pure invention".

"Mario has a contract with Milan, the club called me and he is non-transferable," Raiola told RaiSport. "I have not been in Brazil and I have never met Wenger."

Balotelli scored 18 goals in 41 appearances for Milan last season.
