Jack Wilshere dismisses Jamie Redknapp's comments that his Arsenal career is over.

Jack Wilshere has rejected Jamie Redknapp's suggestion that his Arsenal career is over.

The midfielder, who made his first-team debut for the Gunners in 2008 after coming through the academy, joined Bournemouth on a season-long loan in the summer transfer window.

A string of injury problems has halted Wilshere's progress at Arsenal, and Redknapp believes that he will struggle to get back into Arsene Wenger's team following his loan spell at the Vitality Stadium.

According to The Independent, Wilshere was informed of Redknapp's comments, to which he replied: "I don't know where he got that from.

"I'm just trying to get back to what I was, enjoying my football and playing week in, week out and today was a massive step towards that. I've not really thought about that so how other people can comment on it.

"If he doesn't see me going back to Arsenal then that's up to him. He's entitled to his opinion but I haven't thought about that."

Wilshere played his first full 90 minutes since September 2014 in Saturday's goalless draw with Tottenham Hotspur.
