Arsene Wenger insists that Arsenal must "get the fans back on our side again" after ending a run of three successive Premier League defeats with a 3-0 win over Watford.

Arsene Wenger has stressed that Arsenal must "get the fans back on our side again" after ending a run of three successive Premier League defeats with a 3-0 win over Watford on Sunday.

Despite an official attendance of 59,131, empty seats could be seen all around the Emirates Stadium with a number of season-ticket holders seemingly put off by the Gunners' sub-par season so far.

However, Wenger's charges went on to claim their first league win since February 3 as goals from Shkodran Mustafi, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan helped see off the Hornets.

"We had a disappointing period and our supporters suffered like we suffered," Wenger told BBC Sport after the game.

"But our job is to perform and to stick together in difficult moments, and to get the fans back on our side again."

Arsenal, who remain sixth in the Premier League table, now have a three-week break before their next league game at home to Stoke City.
