Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez to wait on return to training?

Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez may miss out on a return to training on Sunday after claiming on social media that he is "sick".

Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez has suggested that he may not be fit enough to return to training this weekend.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has previously revealed that Sanchez was scheduled to rejoin the squad on Sunday after being given an extended break following the Confederations Cup.

However, the Chilean international - who has been linked with a move to either Manchester City or Paris Saint-Germain - has taken to social media to say that he is currently "sick".

According to Sky Sports News, the 28-year-old is suffering from a bout of flu, and the club are yet to decide whether he will join up with his teammates in the coming days.

Sanchez only has a year remaining on his contract at the Emirates Stadium and while Wenger insists that he will remain in North London, speculation persists regarding an exit before the end of August.
