Discovery orders UK version of 90 Day Fiance
Discovery announces a UK spinoff of its hugely-successful 90 Day Fiancé for the discovery+ streaming service.

Discovery has ordered a British version of its hugely-popular 90 Day Fiancé series, it has been announced.

The show, which sees people in long-distance relationships come together to get married, is a staple for the TLC network in the US and has sparked an astonishing 16 spinoff series.

The latest will be 90 Day Fiancé UK, which will follow six Brits who have found a significant other living abroad and will welcome them to the UK on a 90-day visa allowing them to get married inside that timeframe.

"For the past seven years, the 90 Day franchise has captured the hearts of audiences all around the world," said Clare Laycock, head of entertainment at Discovery.

"Now we're excited to bring 90 Day fans this brand new British spinoff with an all new cast. 90 Day Fiancé UK promises to bring all the drama, emotions and controversy our passionate 90 Day fans love. Will uprooting their lives to find love in the UK pay off?"

The 12-part series will be available for streaming on the discovery+ service later this year.

The streamer has also ordered 90-minute documentary The Poisonings, which will aim to shed new light on the Russian plot to assassinate former spy Sergei Skripal in Salisbury in 2018.
