Sharon Osbourne is taken to hospital in Los Angeles after suffering a "medical emergency" while filming a TV show.

Sharon Osbourne is in hospital after suffering a "medical emergency" while filming a TV show on Friday night.

The 70-year-old is said to have been filming an episode of the unnamed show at the Glen Tavern Inn in Santa Paula, California when she suddenly fell ill.

According to TMZ, Ventura County's medical department took an emergency call at around 6.30pm on Friday and transported Osbourne to Santa Paula hospital, which is roughly one mile away.

Unusually, the publication has no further information on the nature of Osbourne's emergency or any details on her current condition.

Earlier this year Sharon was forced to take time off from her hosting job on TalkTV in order to care for her husband Ozzy Osbourne after he became unwell with coronavirus.
