Graham Norton Show, HIGNFY 'to return to studio'

The Graham Norton Show and Have I Got News For You will reportedly return to the studio for their next series this autumn.

The Graham Norton Show and Have I Got News For You will reportedly return to their regular filming locations this autumn.

The Friday night staples have been forced to adapt production to a 'from-home' format in recent months due to the coronavirus pandemic, with Norton interviewing his celeb guests over webcam and the panel show's host and four contributors similarly appearing virtually.

Both shows have now finished their current series, and according to Deadline, plans are afoot to restore their regular studio settings when they return in the autumn.

The publication claims that HIGNFY is targeting an October return to its Riverside set, although ongoing social distancing measures mean that having a studio audience present for recordings is highly unlikely.

The report comes as the UK's television industry gradually begins to get back to work under new safety guidelines, with ITV's two big soaps having already resumed production and the BBC's EastEnders following suit later this month.
